Frequently Asked Questions

For our Windows, iPadOS, and MacOS products

My purchase isn’t going through—what do I do?
iPad + Mac: Start with this article about resolving store-connection issues. If that does not help, then try contacting Apple directly, as they handle our purchase process. You are welcome to contact our customer service as well, but most purchase errors are best resolved by the above links.
Windows: We recommend contacting Microsoft directly for help, as they control the purchase process on Windows. You can visit their support page or call them at 1-877-696-7786.

How do I restore a purchase?
If you already purchased LiquidText for a certain platform, you can restore your purchase by 1) opening the LiquidText app, 2) in the home screen tap the “…” on the top bar, 3) if you are using iPad or Mac, select “Settings”, 4) select “Purchases”, 5) select “Restore”. Note that a purchase for one platform (e.g., iPad) cannot be restored on a different platform (e.g., Windows) unless you purchased a bundle package.

How do I backup my data?
The best way is to use our LiquidText LIVE sync and backup service! It works continuously in the background, backing up your projects to LiquidText’s cloud service every 3 minutes.

Otherwise, on iPadOS, we work with Apple’s iCloud Backup service, so whenever you run an iCloud backup, your LiquidText content should be backed up as well.
On MacOS + Windows: Your LiquidText data is stored locally on your computer, and so your existing backup service should save your LiquidText data as well.

Can I sync my devices?
Yes!
Our LiquidText LIVE sync and backup service syncs your projects across your devices in realtime. You can even work on two devices together, doing handwriting on your tablet while comparing documents on the big screen—all in the same project.

Is my purchase for all platforms?
A LiquidText LIVE subscription gives one user access to LiquidText on all their devices (up to 10 of that user’s devices, including iPads, Macs and PCs). One-time purchases, like LiquidText Pro, only activate our premium features on the platform it was purchased.

Can I change the app language?
Not yet, but we are planning to add multiple languages in the future. That said, LiquidText should work well with documents from most languages.
